چکیده
The work aims to study the change rule of surface properties aluminum (Al) alloy after shot peening (SP), and obtain corresponding relationship between material characteristics SP parameters. Firstly, Finite Element Model (FEM) multi-projectile impact Al specimen was established by ANSYS/LS-DYNA (Version: Ansys15.0). Box-Benhnken design method (BBD) used 3-level 3-factor experiment with pressure. Projectile size, jet distance, residual stress, as well deformation were taken responses. stress at crater obtained according experiments. Then, Design-Expert software adopted fit values attain multiple regression quadratic equations, response methodology (RSM) applied analyse interaction various factors. degree model-fitting simultaneously identified in accordance an analysis variance function models. Finally, test carried out using 7075-T651 specimen. Combined X-ray diffraction (XRD) optical microscopic observation section, value could be determined verify accuracy model. adjusted R2 model 94.85% 95.08%, respectively. deviation calculated experimental less than 5.5%. section showed that deformed layer approximately same calculation value. result indicated had high accuracy. suggested quickly precisely deduce parameter combination from or material, which provided a diversity reference for hardness strengthening SP.

Surface Layer Analysis after Shot Peening by Barkhausen Noise Signal
In the paper there will be introduced method for relative determination of induced kinetic energy of hardened balls on treated surface, which was invented by J. Alemen. In our experimental work we were focused on measuring Barkhausen noise signals and comparison with microstructure, microhardness, and residual stress analysis of surface roughness. In process of shot peening there is occurrence ...
متن کاملShot Peening of a Titanium Alloy for Medical Implant Applications with Ziirconia Shot
Shot peening with steel shot followed by a cleaning process with glass beads is commonly used as surface finish in the production of modular hip endoprostheses. The induced compressive residual stresses increase the resistance against fatigue and fretting fatigue. The surface roughness can be adjusted in a range that enhances the physiological acceptance I compatibility of monolithic ~rnplants....
متن کاملIncreased osteoblast function in vitro and in vivo through surface nanostructuring by ultrasonic shot peening
Surface topography has significant influence on good and fast osseointegration of biomedical implants. In this work, ultrasonic shot peening was conducted to modify titanium to produce nanograined (NG) surface. Its ability to induce new bone formation was evaluated using an in vivo animal model. We demonstrated that the NG surface enhanced osteoblast adhesion, proliferation, differentiation, an...
متن کاملSide Effects of Shot Peening on Fatigue Crack Initiation Life
Shot peening beneficial effects on fatigue life of mechanical components are well known. However, there are some reports in the literature that indicate inappropriate shot peening parameters tend to reduce the fatigue life. It is therefore, the purpose of this study to find a logical quantitative justification for these observations. Using finite element method, a dynamic elastic-plastic simula...
متن کاملManual shot peening intensity and coverage effects on fatigue performance of aluminum alloy
Shot peening has been developed to enhance the fatigue strength of metallic parts. However, improper shot peening can decrease the fatigue life due to induced high surface roughness and residual tensile stress. The effectiveness of the manual shot peening process is accomplished by the control of the process parameters to provide a uniform intensity and coverage throughout the work piece. This ...
